Areti Markopoulou

加泰罗尼亚高等建筑研究所

•Areti Markopoulou,希腊建筑师、研究者、城市问题技术专家,致力于研究建筑与数字技术的融合。作为巴塞罗那IAAC的学术主任,Areti领导着前沿建筑研学组探索设计和科学对现在和未来人类建造空间、行为和交互的正面影响。她的研究和实践力图将建筑重新定义为具有表现力的人的“身体”延申,使建筑超越了传统的静态材料、特定数据或标准化制造的概念。


Areti Markopoulou Greek architect, researcher, and technologist on urban issues, working on the integration of architecture and digital technology, Areti is the Academic Director of IAAC Barcelona and leads the Frontier Architecture group exploring the positive impact of design and science on present and future human built spaces, behaviors and interactions. Her research and practice seeks to redefine architecture as expressive bodies that go beyond traditional notions of static materials, proximate data or standardized fabrication.

Jenny Sabin

康奈尔大学

•Jenny Sabin任教于康奈尔大学建筑艺术规划学院 Architecture Art Planning(AAP),建筑设计师、艺术家与教育家。作为康奈尔大学建筑系新任命的研究生部的主任的同时,也是Jenny Sabin Studio的负责人。Jenny Sabin的研究一直处于二十一世纪建筑实践前沿,她将生物学、数学与建筑学融合,并在此基础上展开对材料的结构设计,其作品亦无不反映出建筑学、生物学、艺术和大众科学等多学科的交叉与碰撞。


Jenny Sabin teaches at Cornell University's Architecture Art Planning (AAP) and is an architect, artist and educator. She is the newly appointed Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Architecture at Cornell University, the Director of the Jenny Sabin Studio, and the Director of the AAP Jenny Sabin Lab at Cornell University. Her work is informed by the intersection of architecture, biology, art, and popular science.

谢亿民

皇家墨尔本理工大学

Yimin Xie is a Distinguished Professor at RMIT University in Australia where he directs the Centre for Innovative Structures and Materials (CISM). His team pioneered the evolutionary structural optimisation (ESO) and bi-directional evolutionary structural optimisation (BESO) methods, which have been used by thousands of engineers and architects around the world to design novel structures including several landmark buildings. A Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering, Mike has received the AGM Michell Medal, the Clunies Ross Innovation Award, and the Victoria Prize for Science and Innovation. His team has also developed the widely used topology optimisation software Ameba.

Achim Menges

ICD斯图加特大学数字设计研究院

•Achim Menges是法兰克福的注册建筑师,也是斯图加特大学的全职教授,他是计算设计与建造研究所的创始主任和建筑综合计算设计与卓越建造集群中心的主任。此外,同时担任哈佛大学设计研究生院的建筑学客座教授,并在欧洲和美国担任其他多个著名高校的客座教授。他以优异的成绩毕业于伦敦的建筑协会,随后在AA建筑学院担任工作室负责人和studio负责人。


Achim Menges is a registered architect in Frankfurt and full professor at the University of Stuttgart, where he is the founding director of the Institute for Computational Design and Construction and the director of the Cluster of Excellence Integrative Computational Design and Construction for Architecture. In addition, he has been Visiting Professor in Architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and held multiple other visiting professorships in Europe and the United States. He graduated with honors from the Architectural Association in London, where he subsequently taught as Studio Master and Unit Master in the AA Graduate School and the AA Diploma School.

Roland Snooks

Dr. Roland Snooks is an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture and Urban Design at RMIT University. He has taught extensively in the United States, including Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, SCI-Arc, and Pratt Institute. His work explores the intricate forms that emerge from the process of self-organization. Roland's design research focuses on the development of formative behavioral processes that draw on the logic of group intelligence and the operation of multi-agent algorithms and robotic manufacturing. Roland is the director of Roland Snooks, an architectural practice studio, and a founding partner of Kokkugia.

Philippe Block

•Philippe Block,苏黎世联邦理工学院(ETH)建筑技术研究所教授,与Tom Van Mele博士共同领导着Block Research Group(BRG)。兼任瑞士国家数字化研究能力研究中心(NCCR)的主任与Ochsendorf DeJong&Block(ODB Engineering)创始合伙人。Block曾在VUB及MIT研究建筑和结构工程,并于2009年获得博士学位。其现所属的BRG研究重点在于曲面壳体形式结构的计算找形,以此来优化无加固结构的砖砌壳体或混凝土壳体的构造。BRG研究人员再次基础上开发了极具创新性的结构合理定制策略及数字建造语境下的新型建筑范例。在BRG和ODB工程公司的帮助下,Philippe Block将其研究成果应用于非钢筋砌筑中的历史古迹的结构评估以及新型壳体结构的设计和工程。


Philippe Block is Professor at the Institute of Technology in Architecture at ETH Zurich, where he co-directs the Block Research Group (BRG) together with Dr. Tom Van Mele. He is director of the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) in Digital Fabrication, and founding partner of Ochsendorf DeJong & Block (ODB Engineering). Block studied architecture and structural engineering at the VUB, Belgium, and at MIT, USA, where he earned his PhD in 2009. Research at the BRG focuses on computational form finding, optimisation and construction of curved surface structures, specialising in unreinforced masonry vaults and concrete shells. Within the NCCR, BRG researchers develop innovative structurally informed bespoke prefabrication strategies and novel construction paradigms employing digital fabrication. With the BRG and ODB Engineering, Block applies his research into practice on the structural assessment of historic monuments in unreinforced masonry and the design and engineering of novel shell structures.

Masoud Akbarzadeh

Masoud Akbarzadeh is a designer with a unique academic background and experience in architectural design, computation, and structural engineering. He is an Assistant Professor of Architecture in Structures and Advanced Technologies and the Director of the Polyhedral Structures Laboratory (PSL). He holds a D.Sc. from the Institute of Technology in Architecture, ETH Zurich. He holds two degrees from MIT: a Master of Science in Architecture Studies (Computation) and a MArch, the thesis for which earned him the renowned SOM award. He also has a degree in Earthquake Engineering and Dynamics of Structures. His main research topic is Three-Dimensional Graphical Statics, structural and architectural design, and technology. In 2020, he has received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award to extend the methods of 3D/Polyhedral Graphic Statics for Education, Design, and Optimization of High-Performance Structures.

Mette Thomsen

•Mette Ramsgaard Thomsen,KADK教授、CITA研究小组的创始人。Mette致力于进行建筑与计算机科学之间的跨学科实践,已成功地领导了如“创新链(Innochain)”、“复杂建模(Complex modeling)”、“预测响应(Prediction Response)”等战略项目,是检验建筑材料的创新性实践领域的核心人物。


Mette Ramsgaard Thomsen is professor at KADK and founder of the Centre for IT and Architecture research group (CITA).  Mette’s research centres on the intersection between architecture and computer science.  Investigating advanced computer modelling, digital fabrication and material specification Mette has been central in the forming of an international research field examining the changes to material practice in architecture, through her leadership of strategic projects such as Innochain, Complex Modelling and Predicting Response.

•袁烽,同济大学建筑与城市规划学院(CAUP)副院长、长聘教授、DigitalFUTURES平台联合创办者。他还任中国建筑学会计算机设计分会副主任委员;也是国际薄壳与空间结构协会(IASS)和国际3D打印与运输会议(3DTRB)科学委员会成员。他主要专注于建筑数字化建造理论与实践融合,一直积极推广数字化设计和建造技术在建筑学中的应用。作品参加威尼斯建筑双年展,芝加哥建筑双年展,俄罗斯建筑双年展,深圳双年展等。多件作品被纽约MOMA,香港M+艺术博物馆,法国蓬皮杜艺术博物馆收藏。


Yuan Feng is the Associate Dean and Long-Term Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP), Tongji University, and co-founder of the DigitalFUTURES platform. He also serves as the vice director of the Computer Design Branch of the Chinese Institute of Architecture; he is also a member of the scientific committee of the International Association of Thin-Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) and the International Conference on 3D Printing and Transportation (3DTRB). He mainly focuses on the integration of digital construction theory and practice in architecture, and has been actively promoting the application of digital design and construction technology in architecture. His works participated in Venice Architecture Biennale, Chicago Architecture Biennale, Russian Architecture Biennale, Shenzhen Biennale, etc. His works have been collected by MOMA in New York, M+ Museum of Art in Hong Kong, and Pompidou Museum of Art in France.
